Great class this morning! This was his first time forging, so he started with the basics by making a steel snake--with a twist.

Taylor was back yesterday to start his first Billet Knife. He has the blade hammered, ground, and ready for heat treat. Next time is finishing work.

Parker is one of the Level 1 homeschoolers, and did a make-up class this morning. He did great with the Railroad spike knife! It's fun to see how many skills they've learned this year!

Oh this was fun! Lucy and Kristi came in today to make curtain holdbacks. They are gifts for Lucy's parents, who have a moose theme at home. They plasma cut 14 gauge steel by hand in the moose shapes, did lots of cleaning, fine tuning, and making them hand (and curtain) friendly. Great job by both of them. Really fun project!

Great class with the older Level 2 Homeschool class! Cruz finished his damascus knife, and continued working on his short sword. And Ben finished his short sword.

Joaquin and Daniel are students at Western and took a blacksmithing class today as part of a project for their history class! Lots of fun, and great Railroad Spike Knives!

A quick between class "class" Andrew stopped in the forge today for help tweaking his breastplate armor for a cosplay character. We don't make armor, but I can help you adjust it to look more like the character.

Taylor was back to finish his Billet Knife. He left the rough texture for a rustic, Brute de Forge finish, with the Rosewood handle. This is a beautiful knife! Next time--Damascus!
