Scott and his daughter Harlie were in the forge this morning. Harlie continues working on her knife set. Scott finished 2 knives he's been working on as a gift for a friend. The blades were made from saw blades of his friend's late father in law. They will be given to family as memorial knives. Scott did wonderful with these special knives.

Cole is one of the Level 1 Homeschool students. He missed Magic Wand day, so he had a make up class this morning. Great Jon! He's all ready for Scary Cheese Knives this week.

Surprise birthday knifemaking! They kids had no idea what they were going to come to the forge today for the oldest's birthday. They were all very excited and made great Railroad Spike Knives!

The first group of Level 1 Homeschoolers used everything they've learned this year by making scary cheese knives! This knife combines what they learned making the railroad spike knife with everything they learned in all the other projects like hooks and snakes. They did a fantastic job! One more class to go...

Breanna will always been the Queen of the Guinea Pig Club! She's always willing to try new things, even without the guarantee that it will work. She wanted to make a copper damascus ring. It's such a finicky process, that it really doesn't work sometimes...but it DID this time! It's a beautiful ring! Copper and 1095 steel, forged welded, punched through to size, ground and finish sanded.

After two trips to the Park Trades Center basement for tornado warnings, Nicky finished his Railroad Spike Knife! He's learning something new every month this year. This was his first time making something in the forge. It's a beautiful knife!
