Week of October 5-11

October 5

Scott and his daughter Harlie were back today. Scott started a new damascus billet. Harlie finished another knife in the set she's making for herself, and was a Guinea Pig for the steel pumpkins! She's also the first one to buy out new knife stands!

October 7

Great time with Desiree and Bob! They are celebrating their 30th anniversary today by making Railroad Spike Knives!

October 7

Keegan is back! He's building up the basic skills for future projects. So today he made a Railroad Spike Knife. Beautiful tanto style blade, leaving the hammer marks in the blade for a more rustic finish, and a 4 twist handle. And of course super sharp. Great job!

October 8

More steel snakes today with Level 1 Homeschoolers! Very creative shapes today!

October 8

Fun welding class with Tim! And he's the first one to make the newly designed pencil holder--now with a phone holder! He did a great job.

October 9

And even more snakes! The Last Level 1 Homeschool class forged their first steel snakes today. Great job by all of them!

October 9

Breanna was back today! She made another pumpkin and started an apocalypse knife. Its all about balance. Apocalypse knives are a fun ones we do. No rules, gnarly looking. Still hammered out, but things can be welded on, left as is. It's just a fun one to do. Breanna did a great job and will add the handle material next time.

October 10

Such a great group from HECO! They were so much fun during their Railroad Spike Knifemaking Teambuilding class. And made beautiful knives!

October 11

Alan and his son James came to the forge this morning to make Railroad Spike Knives! Great job by both of them!

October 11

Tyler and Ariana were in the forge this afternoon to make their first knives! Super shiny and super sharp!!
