Brandon was back this afternoon to start one of many ideas. He settled on a damascus dagger. He did a great job at forge welding the original 9 layers. He is up to 18, with a goal of 72.

It was a toasty one in the forge this morning! Jessica and her son were in to start their blacksmithing journey by making "S" hooks. They both did great! And thankfully it was before the heat outside really kicked in!

Great class today with John! Originally from Texas but now living in Michigan, it was his first time in Kalamazoo. So he and his wife made it a mini vacation! He did great with his railroad spike! And I definitely think we will be seeing more of him--and of course I'm going to try to convince his wife to come too!
