First class of 2026! Adam and his son Liam came to the forge this morning to make Railroad Spike Knives. They both did a great job!

 

January 4, 2026

Scott finished his beautiful reverse twist damascus knife this morning! Gorgeous pattern! Then he brought in the mosaic pin and handle material. Nike work!

Melissa brought her son back to the forge, and tonight they brought a cousin too! He made a great Railroad Spike Knife. And Melissa and her son made scary cheese knives. There may have been talk about working towards swords!

It's finally knife month for the Level 1 Homeschool Classes! The first group forged their Railroad Spike Knives this morning. Fantastic work by all of them!

Dan was in today to work on a couple of projects. Both are surprises, so I can only post early process photos.

Very fun Steel Flower class this morning! Joyce is a regular at the forge, and arranged a group from her church. They all made beautiful flowers!

Joyce was back in the afternoon with her daughter-in-law, Ashley. Ashley has been to the forge many times too. They both made the larger rose (think level 2 flowers ). Lots of artistic choices when making this flower. They both turned out beautiful!
