Evan was in this morning to continue working on his twisted damascus tanto that he started a few months ago. He wanted to do several other projects in between. This was well worth the wait! The pattern he got is absolutely stunning! Next week he will put the handle material on.

Fantastic class today with CeCe and her father! They have been coming to Art Hops for years just to watch what's being made in the forge. CeCe is finally over 9 years old, so her Christmas she got to take her first class, a Magic Wand! She came very prepared with her drawing. I'd say she got it pretty spot on! Her father made his first knife, a Railroad Spike Knife. He did a great job!
December 23
Christmas has already started in the forge! Marianne brought her husband in to make Railroad Spike Knives for his gift. They bought made beautiful knives!
December 24
Nothing says Holiday Family Fun like Daggers and Damascus! (Also a good band name) Mandi and her father William were back and brought their East Coast family with them! It's beginning to be a tradition for them to come male knives while they're in town. Mandi and William finished their damascus knives. Beautiful blades! The other three made fantastic daggers! Lots and lots of fun with them!
And because last year they heard all about how much i miss Maryland crabs, they brought the closest thing they could--Utz Chesapeake Bay Crab Potato Chips!

Jason was back for some Christmas Eve Knifemaking! He made a beautiful Scary Cheese Knife!

Great morning with these 3 brothers from the Chicago and Traverse City areas, who started their first Billet Knives! They did an exceptional job! We got them hammered, ground, and heat treated. They'll add the handles tomorrow.
