Combat Ready Art to Appear on “Forged in Fire”

Kalamazoo forge chosen as location for one of the History Channel’s “Forged in Fire On the Road” episodes. 

 [Kalamazoo, Michigan]: Combat Ready Art today announced the History Channel’s show, “Forged in Fire”, will feature the Kalamazoo forge in an episode on October 18, at 9pm on the History Channel, as part of their “On the Road” tournament.  They were selected as one of four locations across the country.

 “It was exciting and intense, but we were happy to share what we do here at Combat Ready Art with the show that so many of our students love,” says Jon Reeves and Jutta Wilberding, owners and instructors at Combat Ready Art.

 The episode will feature three of Combat Ready Art’s students, all from the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek area, competing in bladesmithing challenges. 

 About Combat Ready Art: Combat Ready Art is a blacksmithing and bladesmithing school, offering private classes in blacksmithing, knife making, welding, and metalwork, for ages 9 and up, located in the Park Trades Center. Owned by Jon Reeves, who has over 40 years experience as a blacksmith, classes are taught by Jon and his partner Jutta Wilberding.
